**HYDERABAD, May 12, 2025** – Telangana is gearing up for the 12-day Saraswati Pushkaralu festival, beginning May 15th at Triveni Sangamam near Kaleshwaram. The state government is undertaking extensive preparations to ensure a smooth and successful event, with a focus on sanitation, security, and infrastructure.

Fifty special officers from the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department have been deployed to manage sanitation throughout the festival. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inspected ongoing works on Sunday, emphasizing the need for high-quality work in all areas, including sanitation, electrification, and security. He directed officials to create a detailed schedule for the festivities and expedite pending projects, such as completing the main building for Pindapradhanam. The Minister also stressed the importance of robust security measures for the expected large number of pilgrims.

The government is establishing a tent city in Kaleshwaram, complete with temporary lighting, toilets, and a reliable power supply. Arrangements are also in place for daily food distribution, transportation, and crowd control. A 17-foot monolithic idol of Goddess Saraswati has been installed at the newly constructed Saraswati Ghat.

With the Chief Minister and Governor anticipated to attend, Minister Babu instructed officials to improve street lighting, repair roads, and maintain cleanliness across the town. He warned contractors that strict action will be taken if quality standards are not met. The event will include a special Aarti program overseen by officers from the Endowments Department.
