Mon May 12 05:50:55 UTC 2025: ## Delhi Airport Operations Partially Affected Following India-Pakistan Ceasefire

**New Delhi, May 12, 2025** – Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) reported smooth operations on Monday, despite ongoing heightened security measures following a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. While the airport remains functional, Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) warned of potential disruptions to flight schedules and longer security checkpoint processing times due to airspace restrictions and enhanced security.

Approximately 100 flights were cancelled on Sunday, and at least 32 airports across northern and western India were temporarily closed over the weekend in response to the escalating conflict. The ceasefire, reached on Saturday, halted all military actions on land, air, and sea. While the Army reported a largely peaceful night in Jammu and Kashmir following the agreement, the increased security measures remain in place.

DIAL urged passengers to arrive earlier than usual to allow for extra time at security checkpoints and to cooperate fully with airline and security personnel. The airport, the busiest in India, continues to operate, but travellers should anticipate potential delays.
