**New Delhi, May 12, 2025** – The Telangana state government has initiated a relief effort to assist its citizens returning from India’s northwestern border states following escalating tensions with Pakistan. Over 86 Telangana residents, working or studying in these areas, have sought refuge at the Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi.

According to officials, Resident Commissioner Gaurav Uppal and his team have already facilitated the return of 26 individuals to their hometowns as of May 11th. They anticipate an additional 100 people will seek assistance in the coming days. The Telangana Bhavan is providing food, accommodation, medical care, and transportation to those seeking repatriation.
