PATNA, INDIA – Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will launch a project on Monday to repair 6,938 rural roads totaling 12,105 kilometers under the Rural Works Department. The seven-year “Rural Road Strengthening and Management Program” aims to maintain these roads for the duration.
Separately, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar extended their greetings to the people of Bihar on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. The Governor highlighted Buddha’s message of truth, non-violence, love, compassion, and peace, urging citizens to embrace these teachings to build a peaceful and equitable society. The Chief Minister echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Buddha’s life as an inspiration, promoting love, peace, harmony, sacrifice, non-violence, and self-control. He encouraged following the Eightfold Path to achieve a balanced life.
