**Lucknow, India** – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually inaugurated a new BrahMos supersonic cruise missile production unit in Lucknow today. The ₹300 crore facility, along with a BrahMos testing facility, will significantly boost India’s missile production capabilities.
Speaking at the inauguration, Singh lauded the BrahMos missile, stating it was “not just a weapon, but a message to our enemies.” He emphasized India’s rapidly expanding military strength, positioning the nation among the world’s leading powers.
Singh also used the occasion to praise Operation Sindur, a recent military operation, claiming it delivered retribution for a Pulwama-like attack in Pahalgam, sending a clear message to Pakistan. He highlighted the Indian Army’s reach, stating its impact extended to the Pakistan Army’s headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath echoed Singh’s sentiments, congratulating the armed forces, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Rajnath Singh for the success of Operation Sindur. He specifically praised the BrahMos missile’s role in the operation and reiterated the commitment to eliminating terrorism. The Chief Minister stressed that the fight against terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated.
