**Syracuse, NY –** “Saturday Night Live” star Chloe Fineman takes on a unique role in American High’s latest film, “Summer of 69,” premiering May 9th on Hulu. The movie, filmed extensively in the Syracuse area, features Fineman as an exotic dancer at the Diamond Dolls strip club. To prepare for the role, Fineman immersed herself in the club’s atmosphere, spending time with the dancers, including Diamond Dolls’ head chef and dancer, Khaos (Bailey Kocik), who also has a small part in the film.
Fineman’s dedication to authenticity extended to pole dancing training at Studio 360 Pole & Dance in Syracuse, working alongside co-star Liza Koshy and choreographer Travis Wall. The film also boasts a star-studded supporting cast, including Paula Pell as the strip club owner, Nicole Byer and Liza Koshy as fellow dancers, and Alex Moffat as the club DJ. Charlie Day (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) plays a villainous character who threatens the Diamond Dolls.
“Summer of 69,” a comedy co-written and directed by Jillian Bell, follows an awkward high school senior (Sam Morelos) who enlists Fineman’s character to help her seduce a crush. The film’s production utilized the real Diamond Dolls for several weeks, with Kocik praising the cast and crew’s respectful approach. American High, based in Liverpool, NY, is known for its numerous films shot in the Syracuse area, making “Summer of 69” their 20th production. The film is part of American High’s first-look deal with Hulu.
