Sun May 11 18:00:00 UTC 2025: **Pokémon GO’s May 2025 Community Day to Feature Electric Mouse Pokémon Pawmi**
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Pokémon GO players are gearing up for an electrifying Community Day event on May 11, 2025. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Pawmi, the Mouse Pokémon from the Paldea region, will be appearing in the wild at increased rates, giving Trainers their first chance to encounter a Shiny Pawmi.
The event will offer several bonuses, including a 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance, a doubled chance for Candy XL (for Trainers level 31 and above), three-hour-long Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense), one additional Special Trade (with 50% less Stardust), and a surprise for those who take snapshots.
A special event-limited evolution mechanic will allow Trainers to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot after walking 1km with Pawmo as their buddy. This bonus will be active until May 18, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time. Evolving Pawmo during the week following the event will also teach Pawmot the Charged Attack Brick Break.
Players can participate in both free Field Research tasks focused on catching Pawmi and a paid Community Day Special Research for US$1.99 (or equivalent). Completing the paid research will reward players with a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and additional Pawmi encounters. A Timed Research event will also continue for one week after the main event concludes.
