**Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh:** Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, along with Minister Lokesh, visited the family of Murali Nayak, a soldier killed in cross-border firing with Pakistan. The leaders paid their respects at Nayak’s funeral and offered words of comfort to his grieving mother, who was inconsolable. The emotional visit deeply affected both Kalyan and Lokesh.
Nayak’s funeral was held in Kalli Tanda village, Gorantla Mandal, Satya Sai district, with full military honors and large community attendance. The Andhra Pradesh government announced a compensation package of ₹50 lakh, five acres of land, a 300-square-yard plot for a house, and a government job for a family member. Additionally, Pawan Kalyan personally pledged ₹25 lakh to the family.
Speaking to reporters, Kalyan condemned Pakistan’s actions, stating the ceasefire violations continued despite agreements. He praised Nayak’s bravery and heroism in the line of duty, expressing his deep sorrow and inability to fully alleviate the family’s pain. He emphasized Nayak’s sacrifice as an inspiration for the youth. The central government also expressed its gratitude for Nayak’s service.
