Sun May 11 02:00:00 UTC 2025: **Andhra MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna Supports Family of Slain Soldier Murali Naik**
**Ananthapuram, Andhra Pradesh (May 10, 2025)** – Nandamuri Balakrishna, MLA of Hindupur, has extended his support to the family of Lance Naik Murali Naik, an Andhra Pradesh soldier who died in Operation Sindoor in Jammu and Kashmir. Balakrishna announced a one-month salary donation to the Naik family and his personal secretary will deliver the funds to the family on May 12th in their village of Kallitanda, Gorantla Mandal.
Naik’s body arrived at Bengaluru airport on May 10th and was subsequently transported to his home village. A large procession is expected to accompany the body to Kallitanda. The funeral is scheduled for May 11th (Sunday) and will include full military honors. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita, and Minister Nara Lokesh are expected to attend, along with other VIPs and central ministers. Security is being heightened for the event.
Other officials and politicians have also offered support. Kalyanadurgam MLA Amilineni Surendrababu’s nephew, Devineni Dharmateja, donated a month’s salary to the family. Maharashtra’s Minister of Industries, Uday Samant, visited the family, and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde offered condolences via video call and promised a statue of Naik in Mumbai. The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker has also donated a month’s salary, and donations have been pouring in from various sources.
