CHENNAI, May 11, 2025 – The Election Commission of India (ECI) has granted the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) party the “farmer” symbol. This follows the party’s performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where it secured over 8.18% of the vote, exceeding the threshold for state party recognition. NTK coordinator Seeman announced the allocation via X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday. While the party, which contested the election independently, did not win any seats, its strong showing earned it the coveted symbol. The party previously used the “Mike” symbol.
