**Kathmandu, Nepal –** India has donated 15 electric vehicles to Nepal to support the upcoming “Sagarmatha Sambad” international summit on climate change. The summit, hosted by the Nepalese government from May 16-18, will focus on the impact of climate change on mountain regions.
The vehicles were presented to Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba by Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava on Sunday. The donation is intended to facilitate the transportation of participants and officials attending the summit, which is expected to draw around 300 attendees from Nepal and other countries.
Ambassador Srivastava expressed India’s continued support for Nepal’s development, while Minister Deuba expressed gratitude for the contribution. The summit aims to bring together climate experts, environmentalists, and government officials to address the challenges posed by climate change in mountainous areas.
