**BINGHAMTON, NY – May 10, 2025** – The Reading Fightins split a doubleheader against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Saturday, taking the first game 7-5 before falling 6-0 in the nightcap.
The Fightins jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in game one thanks to a grand slam by Trent Farquhar. However, Binghamton rallied to tie the game before Hendry Mendez’s two-run homer in the seventh inning secured the victory for Reading.
Binghamton dominated the second game, shutting out Reading with a six-run fifth inning. Jonah Tong pitched a complete-game shutout for the Rumble Ponies, while Jett Williams, Nick Morabito, and Ryan Clifford each contributed RBIs.
