Sun May 11 16:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Apple’s $95 Million Siri Eavesdropping Settlement: Claim Deadline Looms
**Los Angeles, CA** – Time is running out for consumers to file claims in a $95 million settlement with Apple over allegations that Siri, its virtual assistant, secretly recorded private conversations. The deadline to submit a claim is **July 2nd**.
The class-action lawsuit, *Lopez v. Apple Inc.*, alleged that Apple surreptitiously activated Siri on iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and other devices to record conversations for over a decade, starting September 17, 2014. Apple denies any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement in January.
Individuals who owned or purchased a Siri-enabled device during that period and experienced unintended Siri activation during private conversations may be eligible for a payout. The settlement could provide up to $20 per affected device, though the final amount will depend on the number of claims.
Eligible consumers may have already received notification via email or mail. Those with a Claim Identification Code and Confirmation Code should use them when filing a claim through the official *Lopez v. Apple Inc.* website. Even those without a code but who believe they are eligible can still submit a claim.
Consumers can also opt out of the settlement or object to it. A final approval hearing is scheduled for August 1st. With less than two months remaining, potential claimants are urged to act swiftly.
