**Chilakaluripet, May 11, 2025** – A dramatic police confrontation unfolded in Chilakaluripet yesterday as police arrested Manukonda Srikanth Reddy (35), a close aide of former minister Vidadala Rajini. The arrest, which involved a heated argument and physical obstruction by Rajini himself, took place in Jangaalapalle village, Palnadu district.
Police received information that Srikanth Reddy, a suspect in multiple cases, was hiding in Rajini’s car while the former minister was visiting two families in the village. When police attempted to apprehend him, Rajini intervened, engaging in a heated verbal exchange with the officers and physically blocking them from opening the car door. Despite Rajini’s protests and obstruction, police forcibly opened the car door and arrested Srikanth Reddy.
