**NEW DELHI** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the results for its Class 10 and 12 examinations next week, sources have confirmed. Last year, the results were announced on May 13th.

Over 42 lakh students appeared for the exams this year across 7842 centers in India and 26 other countries, a significant increase from the previous year’s numbers. In 2024, 22.39 lakh students took the Class 10 exam, with a 93.6% pass rate, slightly higher than the previous year. Girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage approximately 2% higher. A notable 2.12 lakh students scored above 90%, and 47,983 achieved over 95%. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) boasted impressive pass rates of 99.09%.

For Class 12, 16.21 lakh students appeared in 2024, with an 87.98% pass rate. Over 1.16 lakh students scored above 90%, and 24,068 exceeded 95%. Thiruvananthapuram region recorded the highest pass percentages for both classes.

Results will be available on DigiLocker, accessible via a six-digit code provided by schools. The exams, which began on February 15th, concluded on March 18th for Class 10 and April 4th for Class 12.
