**Syracuse, NY –** The upcoming dramedy *Caroline*, marking the feature directorial debut of *Outer Range* actress Morningstar Angeline, has added two major names to its cast: Andy Richter (Conan, *Arrested Development*) and Kevin Nash (The Punisher, *Magic Mike*). The film, which begins production in Syracuse at the end of May, centers on 11-year-old Caroline (Sa’Raya Paris Johnson), a young shoplifter navigating a life of crime with her mother (Davida Williams). Things get complicated when her con artist father (James Udom) is released from prison.
Richter will play Norman Montana, a nervous small-town public defender, while Nash takes on the role of Marcus, a reformed criminal and construction worker. They join a cast that already includes Teri Polo.
The film, written by novelist Daniel Blum (*The Feet Say Run*), is produced by Walk Like A Duck Entertainment and Ellyn Vander Wyden. The story follows the family’s struggles as they face a dangerous debt and attempt a final, risky heist.
