**Islamabad, May 8** – A ceasefire has been declared between India and Pakistan following four days of intense cross-border conflict involving drone strikes, missile attacks, and fighter jet bombardments. While Pakistan initially vowed to fight to the death, sources suggest that the country was ultimately compelled to seek a ceasefire after fearing a potentially devastating Indian response. Pakistan reportedly approached the United Nations before its Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) engaged in direct hot-line talks with their Indian counterparts, leading to the agreement.
