**Mangaluru, Karnataka – May 10, 2025** – Police in Karkala are investigating after inflammatory graffiti was discovered in the girls’ hostel washroom of an engineering college in Nitte. According to a complaint filed by the hostel manager, the graffiti contained hate messages intended to incite discord among different communities. The perpetrators used a pen to write the messages on the washroom wall.

Police have registered a case under Section 353 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (statements conducing to public mischief) and are currently searching for those responsible.
