Sat May 10 14:40:06 UTC 2025: ## Mysuru Trekkers Overcome Flight Cancellations After Successful Mount Kuari Ascent
**Mysuru, Karnataka, May 10, 2025** – A 24-member trekking team from Mysuru, including children of sanitation workers and forest guards, successfully conquered Mount Kuari in Uttarakhand, reaching the summit on May 1st and planting the Indian flag. However, their celebratory return was complicated by the escalation of Indo-Pakistani conflict, resulting in flight cancellations.
The “Junoon 2025” expedition, supported by several organizations, saw the team embark on their journey on April 23rd. After sightseeing in Delhi and acclimatization in Rishikesh, they successfully completed the challenging trek, braving difficult terrain and weather conditions.
The team’s planned flight from Amritsar on May 7th was cancelled due to the geopolitical situation. Facing high flight costs and uncertainty, they opted for bus travel to Delhi and secured alternative flights, finally returning home on May 8th. Despite the unexpected setbacks, the team expressed pride in their achievement and the experience gained, including sightseeing opportunities in several Indian cities. The expedition organizers highlighted the participants’ resilience and determination in overcoming the obstacles.
