Sat May 10 17:30:00 UTC 2025: **India Accuses Pakistan of Cross-Border Missile Attacks, Claims Measured Response**

NEW DELHI – India accused Pakistan of launching a series of attacks on Indian military facilities early Saturday morning, including a high-speed missile strike on an air base in Punjab at 1:40 AM. The Indian Ministry of Defence held a press briefing detailing the alleged Pakistani aggression, which involved missiles, drones, long-range weapons, and jets targeting military sites along the Western front.

Col. Sofiya Qureshi stated that Pakistan also attacked medical facilities in Srinagar, Avantipura, and Udhampur. She confirmed that India responded to these attacks with countermeasures, targeting Pakistani military assets in Rahim Yar Khan.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh presented time-stamped images to refute Pakistani claims of significant damage to Indian air force stations and bases, dismissing them as a “malicious misinformation campaign.” She emphasized that Indian strikes were precise and limited to identified military targets, and that the Indian armed forces remain on high alert but committed to de-escalation, contingent on reciprocal action from Pakistan.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri dismissed Pakistani claims of damage to religious sites and critical infrastructure as completely false, asserting that Pakistan’s actions constituted the provocation and escalation of the conflict. Both sides continue to exchange accusations amid the ongoing escalation.
