**KOCHI, INDIA (May 10, 2025)** – A tourist bus carrying passengers returning from a wedding in Malappuram crashed into a parked lorry near the Kumbalam toll plaza early Saturday morning, injuring approximately 30 people. According to initial reports, the accident occurred around 3 a.m. when the driver, reportedly from Thiruvananthapuram, allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.
While none of the injuries are considered life-threatening, many passengers sustained fractures, and at least six required CT scans. The injured were transported to VPS Lakeshore Hospital’s emergency department for treatment. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
