**Krishnagiri, India (May 10, 2025)** – A 40-year-old farmer, R. Prabhu, was murdered in Krishnagiri district on Friday following a land dispute and social media conflict with his neighbor, Govindaraj. The dispute escalated after Prabhu allegedly circulated a morphed image of Govindaraj’s wife online.
Govindaraj’s relatives retaliated by attacking Prabhu at his home on Thursday evening. Prabhu sustained severe injuries and succumbed to them in Krishnagiri Government Hospital.
Kurubarapalli police have arrested six individuals – Varun (42), Ragavendran (38), Jayamani (35), Ganesan (36), Gopi (35), and Vanaraja (53) – in connection with the murder. An investigation is underway.
