Bengaluru, India (May 11, 2025) – The COMEDK UGET, the entrance exam for approximately 20,000 engineering seats in Karnataka, saw a strong turnout of 86.51% on Saturday despite recent postponements. A total of 108,668 candidates out of 125,607 registered participants took the online exam across 235 centers in India, including 70 in Karnataka. In Bengaluru alone, 18,977 out of 21,230 registered candidates participated.
The exam, conducted in three sessions, faced disruptions due to “Operation Sindoor,” resulting in the postponement of the exam at 13 centers near the India-Pakistan border. An additional 11 centers experienced postponements in the third session. These postponed exams will be conducted at a later date. One Bengaluru center experienced a power outage, but affected candidates received extra time to complete the exam.
The COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) stated that provisional answer keys will be released following the completion of all postponed exams. The final answer key and rank cards will be available thereafter.
