**RAMESWARAM, MAY 10, 2025** – Chennai Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) police conducted a successful anti-smuggling operation in Rameshwaram, seizing 176 kg of ganja and arresting three men. The contraband, hidden in 88 bags near the railway track at Idayar Valasai, was reportedly destined for Sri Lanka. The arrested individuals, identified as R. Chathiswaran (22), S. Kamesh (24), and K. Kannan (35), all residents of Vedhalai, are currently in custody and being transported to Chennai.
