Sat May 10 16:14:07 UTC 2025: ## CA Exams in India Rescheduled Amidst Eased Security Concerns
**NEW DELHI, May 10, 2025** – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced today that the remaining Chartered Accountant (CA) final and intermediate examinations, postponed earlier this week due to security concerns, will now be held from May 16th to 24th. The Post Qualification Course (International Taxation – Assessment Test) exams will also follow this revised schedule.
The exams, originally scheduled for May 9th-14th, were postponed on Thursday due to a described “tense and security situation.” The ICAI cited “favourable developments in the security situation” as the reason for the rescheduling. The foundational level exams will proceed as planned, from May 15th to 21st.
Approximately 1.58 lakh students are expected to sit for the final and intermediate exams this May, according to the ICAI. The examination centers and timings remain unchanged, and existing admit cards will remain valid.
