**Kannur, Kerala –** Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced the postponement of his government’s fourth-anniversary celebrations across six districts due to heightened India-Pakistan tensions. The decision, made following a cabinet meeting, cited the current security situation and the need for national unity.
Speaking at an LDF rally in Kannur on Friday, Vijayan stated that celebrating amidst a significant threat to India’s security and unity would be inappropriate. He emphasized the nation’s united stance against terrorism and Pakistan’s evident support for terrorist groups. The “Ente Kerala” campaign will continue in a limited capacity, focusing on exhibitions and information sharing. However, all associated art and cultural programs, along with morning meetings and LDF rallies scheduled in the affected districts, have been postponed.
