**Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh – May 9, 2025** – Two individuals from West Bengal have been arrested in connection with a ₹54 lakh online fraud that occurred in October 2024, West Godavari district police announced. L. Deepak Kumar and Rajesh Jhunjhunwalla, residents of 24 Paragana District, were apprehended on May 8th and brought to Narsapuram.

According to West Godavari Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi, the suspects lured a victim into investing in a fake share market application via WhatsApp. The victim, who was searching online for investment opportunities, unknowingly transferred ₹54 lakh to the accused. Police are continuing their investigation.
