**HYDERABAD, INDIA (May 9, 2025)** – Telangana, India will host the 72nd Miss World pageant, a three-week event starting this Saturday, May 10th. The opening ceremony will take place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

The Miss World Organization selected Telangana for its “rich culture, innovation, and hospitality,” according to CEO Julia Morley. The pageant will not only showcase Telangana’s beauty but also aim to empower communities and celebrate diversity.

Contestants will travel across the state, experiencing the cultural and historical richness of cities like Warangal, Pochampally, Buddhavanam, Yadagirigutta, and Mahabubnagar. Hyderabad highlights include a heritage walk, a visit to AIG Hospitals to explore medical tourism, and a tour of the Telangana Police Integrated Command and Control Centre.

Competitive rounds will begin on May 20th, culminating in the grand finale on May 31st at Hitex, where the new Miss World will be crowned. The winners will conclude their visit with a meeting with the Governor and Chief Minister of Telangana on June 2nd.
