**Imphal, Manipur – May 9, 2025** – Nine militants belonging to various banned organizations were arrested in three districts of Manipur, police announced Friday. The arrests, part of ongoing security operations, resulted in the seizure of arms and ammunition, including locally made pistols and hand grenades.
Four members of the Kangleipak Communist Party were apprehended in Thoubal district on Thursday. Separately, three cadres of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) were detained near Lilong Bridge in Thoubal. Further arrests included one Kangleipak Communist Party (Noyon) member in Imphal East district and another from the KCP (PWG) in Bishnupur district. Police are continuing their investigations.
