CHENNAI, INDIA – Tyre manufacturer MRF announced a significant increase in revenue for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, but a decrease in overall profit due to rising input costs. The company reported a 29% jump in fourth-quarter net profit to ₹512 crore (approximately $62 million USD, assuming an exchange rate of approximately 82 INR to 1 USD – the actual exchange rate will vary), compared to ₹396 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations also saw an 11% year-on-year increase, reaching ₹7,075 crore (approximately $86 million USD).
While total income for the fiscal year rose 12% to ₹28,561 crore (approximately $348 million USD), profit before tax fell to ₹2,479 crore (approximately $30 million USD) from ₹2,787 crore (approximately $34 million USD) the previous year. Despite the dip in annual profits, MRF noted strong growth across all three market segments: replacement, institutional, and export, throughout the fiscal year, with this growth continuing into the fourth quarter. The company also highlighted its involvement in the electric vehicle segment.
