**VISAKHAPATNAM, May 9, 2025** – Good news for air travelers in Andhra Pradesh! IndiGo is set to launch a new international flight connecting Visakhapatnam to Abu Dhabi starting June 13th, operating four days a week. This new route, announced by Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu on X, will link the “City of Destiny” to the UAE and beyond.
Domestic connectivity is also improving. IndiGo will also introduce a new Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar route from June 12th. Furthermore, Air India Express will commence Vijayawada-Bengaluru flights from June 2nd, connecting Andhra Pradesh’s capital region to a major tech hub.
Representatives from the AP Air Travellers Association (APATA) expressed gratitude to Minister Naidu for these additions to the state’s flight network, highlighting the convenience of the new Abu Dhabi route, which is just a short taxi ride from Dubai.
