Fri May 09 04:48:05 UTC 2025: ## India Destroys Pakistani Military Posts After Repelling Cross-Border Attacks

**New Delhi, May 9, 2025** – India launched retaliatory strikes against Pakistan, destroying several military posts along the Line of Control (LoC) after repelling multiple attacks overnight. The Indian Army confirmed the destruction of Pakistani posts, releasing its first-ever official visual evidence of a strike, reportedly using anti-tank guided missiles.

The escalation follows a series of attacks launched by Pakistan on the intervening night of May 8th and 9th, 2025. These attacks, according to the Indian Army’s ADG PI, involved drones and other munitions across the Western border, accompanied by numerous ceasefire violations along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian military reported successfully thwarting at least 50 drone attacks targeting military stations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur. The Indian Air Force carried out aerial strikes on terror camps within Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) as part of “Operation Sindoor” prior to the Pakistani counter-attacks.

While the exact location of the destroyed Pakistani posts remains undisclosed, the Indian Army emphasized its effective response to the continued ceasefire violations and its commitment to defending India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Border Security Force (BSF) also reported foiling a major infiltration attempt in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Power outages were implemented in several cities near border areas, including Srinagar, Jammu, and parts of Punjab and Rajasthan, as a precautionary measure against potential aerial attacks. No casualties or significant damage have been reported from these power outages. The heightened tensions between India and Pakistan remain a developing situation.
