Fri May 09 11:50:00 UTC 2025: **Orange, TX, Prepares for Bassmaster Elites Tournament and BassmastHER Workshop**

ORANGE, TX – The Bassmaster Elites professional fishing tournament is set to return to Orange, Texas, from May 15-18, bringing with it a flurry of activity and excitement. Orange County is investing $8,200 in a new hospitality pavilion for the event, funded by Hotel Occupancy Tax collections.

This year’s tournament will coincide with a BassmastHER workshop, designed to empower female anglers. The workshop, open to women aged 14 and up, will be held on Saturday, May 17th, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For a $25 fee, participants will receive instruction in bass fishing fundamentals, learn about boats and kayaks, and improve casting techniques. Registration closes May 15th and is available at Bassmaster.com/BassmastHER. The workshop will be held in a BassmastHER tent near the tournament’s take-off area.

The Bassmaster Elites tournament itself will feature professional anglers competing for the biggest catch over four days. The tournament begins Thursday, May 15th, at 6:30 a.m., with daily weigh-ins at 2:30 p.m. Orange is anticipating large crowds, similar to the nearly 50,000 attendees two years ago.

Complementing the tournament, the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Sabine River Festival at the Boat Ramp-Riverside Pavilion. The festival will feature a carnival, food vendors, Bassmaster sponsor booths, kids’ activities, and live entertainment, culminating with a performance by the Josh Abbott Band on Saturday night.
