Fri May 09 14:30:00 UTC 2025: ## CNBC Veteran Bob Pisani to Step Away from Daily Reporting After 33 Years
**NEW YORK** – After more than three decades at CNBC, veteran market correspondent Bob Pisani will be stepping down from his day-to-day reporting duties, effective May 9th. Pisani, a highly recognizable figure in financial journalism, will transition to a contributor role for CNBC Pro, the network’s subscription service for professional investors, later this year.
Pisani, known for his calm demeanor, sharp wit, and in-depth market analysis, has been a mainstay at CNBC since 1990, becoming one of the last journalists to regularly report from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. His departure comes as CNBC prepares for a spin-off from parent company Comcast, which will be renamed Versant. Versant will encompass a wide range of Comcast’s media assets, including CNBC, MSNBC, and others, operating independently from NBCUniversal.
“Bob has been more than just a colleague… he’s been a constant presence, a trusted voice and a defining figure in our coverage,” said Dan Colarusso, CNBC’s senior vice president of Business News, in a staff memo. Pisani’s career has included authoring the book “Shut Up and Keep Talking: Lessons on Life and Investing from the Floor of the New York Stock Exchange.” He will continue to contribute his expertise to CNBC Pro following his departure from daily reporting.
