**Hyderabad, May 9, 2025** – Retired Indian Forest Service officer G. Chandrasekhar Reddy was sworn in as the new Chief Information Commissioner for the Telangana Information Commission on Friday. The ceremony, held at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad, was administered by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. Mr. Reddy assumed his duties at 12:05 p.m.
The swearing-in was attended by several dignitaries, including Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, State Legislative Council chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, and other state officials. Mr. Reddy’s term will last three years or until he reaches the age of 65, whichever comes first, according to orders issued earlier this week.
