Fri May 09 05:20:00 UTC 2025: ## CBSE Board Exam Results 2025 Expected Between May 8th and 13th

**New Delhi, India** – Over 44 lakh students anxiously await the release of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10th and 12th board exam results, expected between May 8th and 13th. While the official date remains unconfirmed, the release of DigiLocker access codes on May 5th strongly suggests an imminent announcement.

Last year, the overall pass percentage was 93.60% for Class 10 and 87.98% for Class 12. This year, a slight improvement is anticipated, with girls expected to continue outperforming boys, mirroring the trend of a 6.40% higher pass rate for girls in Class 12 in 2024. Regions like Trivandrum, which boasted a 99.91% pass rate last year, are also expected to maintain high performance.

Students can access their results through various channels: the official CBSE websites (cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in), the DigiLocker app, the UMANG app, SMS, and IVRS (by dialing 24300699 with area code). A crucial change this year is the absence of a merit list, promoting healthy competition with a 9-point grading system.

The minimum passing marks remain at 33%, applied separately to theory and practical components in Class 12 and as an overall percentage in Class 10. Students who fail in one or two subjects can take compartmental exams in July, with results released in August. Those failing more than two subjects will need to repeat the year. Re-evaluation and rechecking options will be available for students unsatisfied with their scores.

The CBSE conducted exams in 84 subjects for Class 10 and 120 for Class 12, encompassing Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams. The board has emphasized multiple access points to results to handle the expected high volume of traffic. Students are advised to have their roll number, school number, and date of birth readily available.
