Fri May 09 02:50:00 UTC 2025: ## CBSE Board Exams Results Imminent: Over 44 Lakh Students Await Results
**New Delhi, India** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the results for its Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations this week, affecting over 44 lakh students nationwide. While the exact date and time remain unannounced, the board has already dismissed several false announcements circulating on social media.
Students can access their results through several channels once released: the official CBSE websites (results.cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in), the UMANG app, DigiLocker, and an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) by dialing 24300699 (with area code). Detailed instructions for accessing results through each method are available online. Students should note that the initial scorecards will be provisional; original mark sheets must be collected from schools.
The exams, which saw 24.12 lakh Class 10 students and 17.88 lakh Class 12 students participating, were held from February 15th to March 18th. Passing criteria differ between the two classes: Class 10 requires a 33% combined score (theory and internal assessment), while Class 12 demands 33% in both theory and practical papers separately. DigiLocker access codes, distributed to schools for student access to digital mark sheets, are also available.
Previous years’ result announcements serve as a loose indicator, with results declared on May 13th in 2024, May 12th in 2023, July 22nd in 2022, and August 3rd in 2021. Students are advised to monitor official CBSE channels for updates. Further information on re-evaluation and supplementary exams can be found at education.indianexpress.com.
