**CHENNAI, INDIA (May 9, 2025)** – Actor Kamal Haasan has postponed the audio launch of his highly anticipated film, *Thug Life*, scheduled for May 16th, in response to recent military operations and heightened border tensions. In a statement, Haasan cited the need for “quiet solidarity” with Indian soldiers currently engaged in Operation Sindoor, a major military operation targeting terror infrastructure.
The postponement reflects a widespread sense of national unity following the operation. Haasan, whose production company Raajkamal Films International is backing the film, emphasized the importance of restraint and reflection over celebration at this time.
*Thug Life*, a major action gangster drama directed by Mani Ratnam and featuring a star-studded cast including Silambarasan TR and Trisha, is a highly anticipated collaboration between two legends of Tamil cinema.
