**Mahbubnagar, May 8, 2025:** Contestants vying for the Miss World 2025 crown will visit Palamuru in Telangana on May 16th, according to a statement released by the Mahbubnagar district administration. The beauty queens are scheduled to visit the famed Pillala Marri (Children’s Banyan Tree), a prominent tourist attraction in the district.
Mahbubnagar Collector Vijayaendira Boi has instructed various departments to make elaborate arrangements for the visit. A site inspection was conducted at Pillala Marri on Thursday, where the Collector directed officials to ensure sound and lighting arrangements, robust security measures, impeccable sanitation, and adequate parking facilities.
The contestants will also visit the ancient Pillala Marri tree (estimated to be 750 years old), the archaeological museum, and the adjacent Ramalingeshwara Swamy Temple. The Collector emphasized the importance of extending a warm welcome to the participants.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the SP, additional collector, ASP, DSP, DFO, DRDO, Municipal Commissioner, RDO, DEO, and the Assistant Director of Archaeology.
