**QUETTA, PAKISTAN** – A series of coordinated attacks targeting security forces in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, late last night has left the city in a state of terror. Multiple explosions and intense gunfire were reported at four separate locations.
The attacks began with an assault on the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters, where unidentified gunmen engaged in a fierce gun battle and detonated explosives. Witnesses described several powerful explosions followed by a protracted exchange of fire.
Further attacks targeted the Captain Safar Khan checkpoint (Jangli Bagh, Kambrani Road), where at least two powerful explosions were heard. A security post on Karani Road in Hazara Town was also attacked, though the extent of damage and casualties remains unclear. Finally, an anti-narcotics force (ANF) camp near Arif Gali, close to the Borma Hotel, came under attack.
Earlier in the evening, a separate explosion on Spiny Road resulted in one death and three injuries.
Bolan News reports suggest the attacks were part of a coordinated operation, but authorities have yet to release information regarding the perpetrators’ identities or motives. The situation remains tense, and investigations are underway.
