Thu May 08 17:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Villanova Women’s Basketball Bolsters Roster with Canadian Guard Marie-Denise Ntambue

**Villanova, PA –** Villanova University’s women’s basketball team has officially added Canadian guard Marie-Denise Ntambue to its roster, the program announced Tuesday. Ntambue, a 5’9″ guard from Crestwood Preparatory School in Toronto, previously committed to the Wildcats in February. She joins three other incoming high school recruits – McDonald’s All-American nominee Kennedy Henry, and Elise and Brooke Bender – all of whom have officially signed with the program.

This influx of talent comes after Villanova lost only one player to the transfer portal (Maddie Webber to the University of Illinois) and five to graduation. The Wildcats also added two transfers: Kylee Watson (Notre Dame) and Kelsey Joens (Iowa State). Head Coach Denise Dillon anticipates Ntambue’s versatility will be a valuable asset, stating her preference for guards with a “two-point guard mentality.” Ntambue will join fellow Canadian and Big 5 Freshman of the Year Jasmine Bascoe on the roster. The Wildcats still have one open roster spot remaining.
