**Hyderabad, May 8, 2025** – Telangana state has experienced a significant drop in temperatures following a recent heatwave. After peaking at over 45°C in late April, the highest temperature recorded on Wednesday was 40.9°C in Nidamanoor, Nalgonda district. This marks a considerable decrease, attributed to recent thunderstorm alerts issued across various districts.
Other high temperatures recorded included 40.7°C in Adilabad and Nizamabad districts, and 40.6°C in Karimnagar and Pedapalli. Eighteen districts reported maximum temperatures below 40°C. Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 39°C.
The dramatic temperature shift provides relief after a period of intense heat.
