VIJAYAWADA, May 8, 2025 – P. Sitarama Anjaneyulu, a suspended IPS officer and former Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Secretary, was arrested on Thursday in connection with an ongoing recruitment scam. Mr. Anjaneyulu, already in judicial custody for the illegal arrest and harassment of Bollywood actress Kadambari Jethwani, was taken into custody under a prisoner transit warrant and remanded for 14 days.

The arrest follows allegations that Mr. Anjaneyulu violated procedure in evaluating answer sheets for the 2018 Group-I examinations, which involved filling 169 posts. The investigation focuses on the awarding of the answer sheet evaluation contract to Camsign Media Private Limited. The director of Camsign Media, P. Madhusudhana Rao, was arrested on Wednesday and is also in judicial custody. The investigation continues.
