**NEW DELHI –** Kia India is set to unveil its new flagship 7-seater SUV, the Carens Clavis, tomorrow. This premium offering will sit above the existing Carens model, vying for market share with established competitors like the Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar. Pricing is expected to be announced at the launch event.

The Carens Clavis will boast a design reminiscent of the Kia EV5, featuring similar headlamp and taillight designs, though it will be powered by internal combustion engines (ICE) rather than electric. Interior design is anticipated to draw inspiration from the Syros SUV, promising upgraded features such as a trinity display, new upholstery, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

While the exterior and interior receive significant upgrades, the powertrain remains largely unchanged. The Clavis will continue to offer the same 1.5-liter petrol, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel engine options, paired with 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT transmissions. Kia plans to sell the Clavis alongside the existing Carens model.
