**Mumbai, May 8, 2025** – T. Natarajan, the Indian fast bowler, is set for a much-anticipated comeback in the IPL 2025 season. After recovering from injury, Natarajan, previously a key player for Sunrisers Hyderabad, was surprisingly included in the Delhi Capitals playing XI for their match against his former team. However, that match was rained out, denying him a chance to bowl. All eyes will now be on his performance against the Punjab Kings.

Natarajan’s journey to the IPL is unique. He rose from the ranks of tennis-ball cricket, representing BSNL in Tamil Nadu Cricket Association tournaments, before making his mark in the Ranji Trophy in 2015. Punjab Kings signed him for ₹3 crore in 2017, and he subsequently became a mainstay for Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2018 to 2024. His impressive IPL performances earned him a place in Team India. This year, Delhi Capitals acquired him for ₹10.75 crore.

In his IPL career spanning 62 matches, Natarajan has taken 67 wickets, with his best figures being 4 wickets for 19 runs. Last season with Sunrisers Hyderabad, he played a crucial role, taking 19 wickets in 14 matches and helping the team reach the final. He has also achieved double-digit wicket hauls in 2020 (16), 2022 (18), and 2023 (10).

Now fully recovered from injury, Natarajan’s performance in the coming match against Punjab Kings will be crucial to determine his effectiveness for Delhi Capitals in the latter stages of the tournament.
