**NEW DELHI** – The Indian armed forces held a press briefing Wednesday detailing Operation Sindoor, the country’s response to the Pahalagam terror attack. The briefing, led by Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force, notably highlighted Colonel Qureshi’s distinguished career.
Colonel Qureshi’s accomplishments were previously recognized by the Supreme Court of India in a landmark 2020 judgment granting permanent commissions to women officers.
