PUDUCHERRY, May 8, 2025 – The Puducherry and Karaikal regions have reported a 98.53% pass rate for their Class 12 board examinations, a marginal increase from last year’s 97.85%. A press release from the Directorate of School Education revealed that 7,564 students from private schools sat for the exams, with 7,453 successfully passing. Girls achieved a higher pass rate of 99.35%, compared to 97.76% for boys. The Puducherry region individually saw a 98.57% pass rate, while Karaikal recorded 98.12%. A remarkable 582 students achieved perfect scores in at least one subject, with Computer Science leading the way with 253 centum holders.
