**Mysuru, Karnataka, May 8, 2025** – A civil defence mock drill will be conducted on the premises of the Mysuru Palace on May 10th at 4 p.m., Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy announced today. The drill, mandated by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, is part of a nationwide initiative in response to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following a recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

The drill aims to assess the preparedness and response capabilities of various emergency agencies. Deputy Commissioner Reddy, presiding over a preparatory meeting, directed officials to ensure adequate resources, including ambulances, a designated location within the palace grounds, a control room, fire engines, and coordinated hospital support.
