Thu May 08 02:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Girls Outperform Boys in CBSE Class 10 Exams for Third Consecutive Year
**New Delhi, May 7, 2025** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 results, expected mid-May, continue a trend of high pass percentages and female student success. For the third year running, girls have significantly outperformed boys, maintaining an overall pass rate above 90%.
In 2024, the pass percentage reached 93.60%, a slight increase from 93.12% in 2023. Girls achieved a 94.75% pass rate, 2.04% higher than the boys’ 92.71%. The performance of transgender students also showed improvement, rising from 90% in 2023 to 91.30% in 2024. This consistent disparity between genders has been observed over the past three years.
The CBSE has once again opted not to release merit lists, a practice implemented in 2020 to discourage unhealthy competition. While the overall pass percentage has seen minor fluctuations, the superior performance of girls remains a consistent feature. The board has provided access codes for students to download their digital marksheets via Digilocker. Further details regarding the exact release date of the 2025 results are awaited.
