**DETROIT, MI (May 7, 2025)** – Metro Detroiters enjoyed mild temperatures in the mid-70s Wednesday, but a significant drop is expected overnight, sending temperatures plummeting into the 40s and even the upper 30s in some areas.

According to 4Warn Weather, lows will reach the mid-40s in Detroit, Dearborn, Monroe, and Adrian. Colder temperatures are predicted for northern suburbs, with lows in the lower 40s in Rochester Hills and Fowlerville, and upper 30s in Lapeer and Sandusky. An isolated shower is possible overnight, with a higher chance of sprinkles south of I-94.

Thursday will bring sunshine and highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s, but nighttime temperatures will again drop to around 40 degrees, with a risk of frost in some locations, including Ann Arbor, Milford, Grand Blanc, Oxford, and Shelby Township.

The weekend forecast is positive, promising comfortable temperatures in the lower to mid-70s for Mother’s Day celebrations. Monday will see temperatures flirting with 80 degrees.
